The December issue of Kadokawa‘s Gundam Ace magazine published the final chapter of Toshihiko Tsukiji and NOCO‘s Kidō Senshi Gundam: Iden Nijūyon-sai Shokugyō OL, Tensei-saki de Kycilia Yattemasu (Mobile Suit Gundam: Spinoff – I’m a 24-Year-Old Office Worker Who Reincarnated as Kycilia) spinoff story on Tuesday. The story will be compiled into a novel volume that will ship in 2022.
The manga centers on a 24-year-old modern office worker who is reincarnated as Kycilia Zabi as a child. Kycilia is a character in the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. She is a military commander and political figure, one of the scions of the Zabi family, whose head Degwin Sodo Zabi ruled as dictator of Zeon.
Writer Tsukiji and illustrator NOCO launched the story in Gundam Ace in November 2020.
Tsukiji previously created the Maburaho and Kämpfer light novels as well as the story for the Umi Monogatari ~Anata ga Ite Kureta Koto~ pachinko games. All three franchises have been adapted into television anime series.
NOCO illustrates the Date A Live Fragment: Date A Bullet spinoff novels of the Date A Live franchise, which inspired a two-part theatrical anime adaptation that opened in Japan in August and November 2020. NOCO also drew the character designs and art for the Mysterious sub-series of games in Gust‘s Atelier franchise.
